We’re honoured to offer a truly special prize: a pair of adidas Broomfield – Mark Allison Edition trainers, limited to just 49 pairs worldwide.
Mark Allison was a beloved and highly respected member of the adidas community. In November 2014, at just 47 years old, Mark was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and given just six months to live. Rather than retreating, Mark chose to channel his time and energy into raising funds for local charities, supporting others facing similar battles.
One of the key charities Mark supported was St. Andrew’s Hospice in Airdrie, a vital service providing palliative care to those with life-limiting illnesses.
Towards the end of 2015, Mark’s close friends, Bobby Gallagher and Archie Harkness, approached adidas with a heartfelt request—to create a personalised pair of trainers for him. adidas granted that wish, producing a bespoke pair of Stan Smiths “Endorsed by Mark Allison”—an honour typically reserved for celebrities. Upon receiving them, Mark said:
“In the football-fraternity world, this surpasses a knighthood. I am so privileged, honoured and humbled. I’ll never wear them. I’m in the process of having a glass case made and I’ll keep them in that.”
Mark’s selfless fundraising efforts continued, eventually raising over £70,000 for charities close to his heart. His courage and determination inspired many, including Gary Aspden of the adidas Spezial team, who honoured Mark by naming the MALLISON SPZL shoe after him in the Spring/Summer 2017 collection.
Although Mark sadly passed away in 2016, shortly after hearing the news about the shoe being named in his honour, his legacy continues to live on.
Following Mark’s passing, Gary Aspden commissioned a special run of 49 pairs of Broomfield shoes in Mark’s memory—one for each year of his life. These pairs were gifted to friends and family, with several used to raise funds for charitable causes.
We’re giving you the chance to win a pair of these ultra-rare size 10 Broomfield – Mark Allison Edition trainers. Only 10 pairs in this size exist in the world—making this an extraordinary collector’s item.
But that’s not all. The grand prize also includes:
AOA ( ADIDAS ONLY ADDICTED) Limited Edition Book – includes wooden presentation case, pin badge, booklets, stickers, and other exclusives. The AOA Book is a limited edition publication created by and for enthusiasts of adidas footwear and culture.
